CBSE Class 12 Term 1 Exam Results: The CBSE Class 12 Term 1 marksheets will be available at schools once the results are released.

CBSE Class 12 Term 1 Results: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to release Class 12 Term 1 results this week. Students who appeared for the semester 1 exam can check their results on the official websites of the board, if available online. Several third-party websites and apps, such as DigiLocker, also host the results.

The CBSE Class 12 Term 1 marksheets will be available in schools once the results are released. Students should contact their school to get the grade sheets.

The board released the CBSE Class 10 Term 1 results offline on March 11 and shared the marksheets with the schools via email. “The board only informs the schools collectively about the theoretical performance of their class X students. As a result, the performance of individual students is not published on the website,” the CBSE said in a statement.

The board statement clarifying the offline publication of results makes it likely that it will remain with the offline also for the Class 12 Term 1 results. More than 36 lakh students appeared in November-December for the Class 10 and Class 12 Term 1 exams. The board will not announce the results of Term 1 as pass or fail or essential repetition. It will publish the final result after the Term 2 exams.

At the beginning of the semester 1 exams, the board followed the same day evaluation policy: the answer sheets were evaluated at the end of the exams in the exam center and the answer keys were made available. However, it dropped the practice for the last few Class 12 papers.

The CBSE Term 1 exams were marred by controversy. Many teachers argued that some questions could have had multiple answers. The Sociology class 12 exam had questions of a political nature about the 2002 Gujarat riots, while the CBSE had to intervene and clarify that a passage in the English class 10 exam was not in line with the guidelines. The board also faced charges of asking questions that were regressive and promoted gender stereotyping.

The CBSE has already released the Class 12 Term 2 exam datasheet, which will be held between April 26 and June 15. While most exams will be held from 10:30 AM and 12:30 PM, others will take place from 10:30 AM to noon. The students have a reading time of 15 minutes.
