According to the guidelines, the vaccination slots for Corbevax are only booked through Co-WIN for the age group 12-14 years. Vaccinator should ensure that the vaccine is only given to children who have reached the age of 12 on the date of vaccination and if a child is registered but has not yet reached the age of 12, the vaccination should not be given.

The registration process for children aged 12-14 is the same as for adults. One can login to and register using an Aadhaar card or other document to verify the age of the child and then book a slot according to your convenience. One can also register via an existing account on Co-WIN of a family member or on site (walk-in).

Things to know:

– Corbevax will receive 2 doses 28 days apart for the 12-14 year cohort. While Covaxin is currently available for the age group of 14-18 years.

– The Center has asked states to organize special Covid vaccination sessions through earmarked centers and train vaccinators to prevent vaccine mixing during the inoculation of adolescents.

– States were also advised to ensure judicious use of available COVID-19 vaccines.
