In the international market, gold traded 1 percent lower at USD 1,930 an ounce and silver remained stable at USD 25.58 an ounce.

The gold price dropped from Rs 668 to Rs 51,727 per 10 grams in the national capital on Tuesday following a decline in international precious metal prices, according to HDFC Securities.

In previous trading, the precious metal settled at Rs 52,395 per 10 grams.

Silver also tanked Rs 1,390 to Rs 67,997 per kg from Rs 69,387 per kg in the previous transaction.

In the international market, gold traded 1 percent lower at USD 1,930 an ounce and silver remained stable at USD 25.58 an ounce.

Gold prices traded lower while the spot price for gold on the COMEX fell 1 percent on Tuesday to USD 1,930 an ounce, said HDFC Securities Senior Commodities Analyst Tapan Patel.

Gold prices faced a sell-off with US bond yields rallying ahead of the US FOMC (Federal Open Market Committee) meeting.
