Museveni, 77, who has been Africa’s largest coffee exporter since 1986, is one of the continent’s long-serving presidents alongside Teodoro Obiang Nguema of Equatorial Guinea, Paul Biya of Cameroon and Denis Sassou Nguesso of the Republic of Congo. Museveni secured a sixth elective term in the January 2021 general election, amid a challenge from Robert Kyagulanyi, a pop star turned politician who goes by the stage name Bobi Wine.
