New Delhi: IDFC First Bank MD and CEO V Vaidyanathan has donated 5 lakh shares of the bank he owns to relatives of a deceased colleague, according to a legal filing. Vaidyanathan had also previously donated his shares to staff members, including his trainer, domestic worker and driver, to help them buy houses. “V Vaidyanathan, Managing Director & CEO, has donated 5,000,000 shares of IDFC FIRST Bank that he owned to certain relatives of a deceased colleague who knew him well for a long time, in support of their education and for their financial security” , the bank said in a registration request Thursday.
