Construction on the Magdeburg site will begin in the first half of next year, and production will come online in 2027. The facility, which will create what Intel calls “Silicon Junction” as the region becomes a chip manufacturing hub, will create 3,000 permanent high-tech jobs along with 7,000 construction jobs.
