England pacer Mark Wood has been ruled out of the upcoming IPL with an elbow injury.

A report in Espncricinfo said Wood Lucknow will not represent Super Giants in the IPL starting March 26, after sustaining a right elbow injury during the first Test against the West Indies last week.

Newcomers Super Giants had paid Rs 7.5 crore for Wood in the IPL auction last month.

Wood was able to bowl just 17 overs in the game against the West Indies at North Sound.

The Super Giants are led by KL Rahul and coached by Andy Flower.
