Jackson, 51, will testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee for three days and play her part in what President Joe Biden, a former chairman of that panel, once called a “kabuki dance.” Like previous nominees, Jackson will most likely try to evade controversy and resist attempts to pin her down on divisive issues that could face trial, such as gun rights and affirmative action.
