Nandini Dias of Lodestar UM has filed her papers and has resigned as CEO. Dias joined the group 27 years ago and over time had achieved the top position, leading the organization to several ‘media agency of the year’ awards.

“I leave Lodestar UM in the hands of a strong, capable and empowered team that has been associated with me for a long time. In fact, almost all of the top 30’s have been with me during my tenure as CEO. Rarely do you get the chance to hand over the reins after an organisation’s best years, but this year was one of Lodestar UM’s best. More than a dozen new companies, more than 20 international awards, campaign agency of the year – silver, RECMA recognized it as the agency of the highest vitality and personally I was recognized by the International Advertising Association (IAA) as CEO of the media agency of the years) and honored by the Governor of Maharashtra,” said Nandini Dias.

Over the years, Nandini Dias has been recognized by various bodies with numerous awards – from the Media Planner of the Year in 1998 to the Media CEO of the Year on various platforms in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2021. She has also been recognized by platforms such as The World Leadership Congress and reached Times of India’s coveted list of times power women. In addition, she has been on the Economic Times’ most influential list for several years, the first female leader to be there, and has stood under other such titles for many years.

Dias led from the front to build Lodestar UM into one of the top three agencies in the country, said Shashi Sinha, CEO of Mediabrands India. “She has been my partner, ally and friend for 27 years. Passion is what defines her whether it be creating business solutions, building strong media properties for her clients or making a difference to our society and communities or bringing her teams together to create a festival or to celebrate a win, Nandini Dias did it all with remarkable zeal. She leaves her indelible mark on Lodestar UM in the solid and immensely capable leadership team she has nurtured and I can say with confidence that they will only continue to build on her legacy,” he emphasized.
