The court noted that Pakistan and its agencies had sent money for terrorist financing and that even the diplomatic mission was used to realize the malicious design.

A National Investigation Agency (NIA) court has ordered charges against Pakistani terrorist and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) founder Hafiz Saeed and leader of the Mujahideen of Hizbul, Syed Salahuddin, Kashmiri separatist leaders including Yasin Malik, Shabbir Shah, Masarat Alam, Kashmiri politician and former MLA Rashid Engineer, businessman Zahoor Ahmad Shah Watali, Bitta Karate, Aftab Ahmad Shah, Avatar Ahmad Shah, Naeem Khan, Bashir Ahmed Bhat, alias Peer Saifullah and several others under various sections of the Prevention of Illegal Activities Act (UAPA), including criminal conspiracy, waging war against the country, illegal activities, etc. in a case related to the terrorist and secessionist activities disrupting Jammu and Kashmir.

The court noted that Pakistan and its agencies had sent money for terrorist financing and that even the diplomatic mission was used to realize the malicious design. It also said money for terrorist financing had also been sent by the proclaimed international terrorist and accused Hafiz Saeed, ANI reported.

The court noted that during the pleadings, none of the defendants argued that they individually lack a secessionist ideology or agenda or that they have not worked for secession or advocated secession of the former state of Jammu and Kashmir from the government of India.

NIA Special Judge Praveen Singh said in a warrant issued on March 16: “The above analysis reflects that the statements of witnesses and evidence have linked nearly all the accused with each other and with a common goal of secession, with the common resources they have used, their close link with terrorist/terrorist organizations under the leadership and funding of the Pakistani establishment”.

However, the court clarified that everything expressed in this injunction is prima facie opinion, although a detailed discussion of the evidence had to take place as the arguments were presented in great detail by both parties.
