One Moto India partners with Reliance General Insurance. As part of the partnership, Reliance General Insurance will offer motor insurance exclusively to all One Moto India customers.

One Moto India, the Indian subsidiary of a premium British electric two-wheeler manufacturer, has announced its partnership with Reliance General Insurance. Following the partnership, Reliance General Insurance will exclusively offer auto insurance to all One Moto India customers. One Moto India started operations in the Indian market in November 2021. The company has three electric scooters in its portfolio, Byka, Electa and Commuta.

The company claims that the brand has received an overwhelming response from EV buyers in India since launching its business in November 2021. The EV maker aims to produce at least 40,000 units in the first phase of its factory launch. One Moto India also says it is working to create the charging and battery swapping infrastructure aligned with the Indian government’s vision of achieving EV transformation in the country.

Commenting on the association, Aditya Reddy, VP, Marketing & Sales, One Moto India confirmed that “We are strengthening the services and product portfolio from all facets. We have already announced the new factory and investment plans in the pipeline. Our three products are already underway and receiving an overwhelming response. While we continue in sync with the strategy, this partnership with the highly renowned Reliance General Insurance is another milestone that has been reached. We aim to grow aggressively to serve our customers and play an active role in the e-Mobility mission.”

“The penetration of electric two-wheelers in India is expected to increase from 2% in FY21 to 10-15% in FY26. With such forecasts and growing demand, we see great potential for us to be an enabler in space. As the country makes the responsible shift to e-mobility for a better and greener future, we must make an equally important contribution to the process. Our partnership with One Moto reflects our commitment and is focused on achieving those goals,” added Anand Singhi, Chief Distribution Officer, Reliance General Insurance.
