Conversational Artificial Intelligence (AI) company ORAI Robotics on Tuesday (March 15, 2022) said it has donated Non-Fungible Tokens (NFT) as a reward to its entire workforce, consisting of more than 50 employees as of that date. The NFTs have been validated and transferred to the employees via a digital wallet, the creation of which for each employee is facilitated by ORAI.

The company recently minted and launched its first-generation NFT collection for employees called ‘ORAI Upbeat’.

The ORAI Upbeat Collection consists of 500 unique NFT collectibles specially minted for employees and key stakeholders.

The company said each of these collectibles represents optimistic, upbeat and happy robots designed to create encouraging engagement in the emerging world of metaverse.

While the idea for this project was done internally, ORAI Robotics also partnered with Meta9corp.io for support to make this unique project a success.

No Fees NFTs

“There is no cost associated with the NFT provided to the employees, it is given to the employer. It is the decision of the employees to put it into operation,” the ORAI Robotics representative told FE Online.

ORAI Robotics said in a statement that it is the first-ever company in India to give away corporate NFTs to employees.

The employees can store or show off their NFTs as a medal, badge or certificate, or they can trade and transfer these NFTs to capitalize and earn from them.

Repurchase Option

The company said it also offers a buyback policy option to their employees, where they can monetize the NFTs by returning the NFTs to the company after a certain period of time based on some terms and conditions.

In addition, the company also provides free access to various training and events related to conversational AI, skill development and other related training for the employees who have the NFTs.

For example, in the future, they plan that every time an employee completes a one-year milestone in the company, they will be assigned an NFT airdrop in their wallet. The employees who complete their 1st year in the organization get GIF NFTs; and similarly, those who complete their 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th years in the business will receive animated GIFs, videos, audio/music, and art in the form of NFTs, respectively.

ORAI Robotics plans to give away NFTs to its partners, customers and other key stakeholders in the company. They also strive to use blockchain NFTs, a form of background verification, past credentials, certificates, awards, etc., by storing the data on blockchain and further using it as proof of employment.
