The number of daily vaccinations is expected to increase towards the end of the night with the preparation of the final reports.
The nationwide vaccination campaign was rolled out on January 16 last year, with the HCWs vaccinated in the first phase.
The vaccination of FLWs started on February 2 last year.
The next phase of Covid vaccination began on March 1 last year for people over 60 and people 45 and over with specified comorbidities.
India launched vaccination for all people over the age of 45 from 1 April last year.
The cabinet subsequently decided to expand the vaccination campaign by having everyone over the age of 18 vaccinated against the virus from 1 May last year.
The next phase of Covid vaccination has started from January 3 this year for young people in the age group of 15-18 years.
India began administering precautionary doses of the vaccines to the HCWs, FLWs and people aged 60 and over with co-morbidities from January 10 this year.
