He said that economic, political and strategic equations around the world are changing and that the major world powers are in a tussle.
“Our defense needs have also increased and constant modernization of the armed forces is the need of the hour. Keeping ourselves ready is our top priority and we are constantly working to improve our strategic capabilities,” said Singh. He spoke after the inauguration of the seven-story Flight Control System (FCS) complex built by the Defense Research and Development Organization in a record 45 days at the Aeronautical Development Establishment (ADE).
Singh reiterated the government’s decision to go the extra mile to support the armed forces, scientists, entrepreneurs, academics, students, farmers and the people at large in their quest for excellence and a happier and prosperous future. Referring to the technical complex, the minister said it is a unique project not only in the country but in the whole world and is an embodiment of New India’s new energy.
“This energy is from technology, dedication, institutional cooperation between the public sector, private sector and academia and especially from ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he said. He was convinced that the facility will go a long way. in strengthening national security. The simulators offer the opportunity to learn by making mistakes without the possibility of losing, he said. Singh praised DRDO and L&T for developing the hybrid technology and expressed confidence that it will increase the productivity of the construction process, optimize the use of resources, reduce losses due to waste and aid rapid project completion.
He also described the hybrid technology as an important milestone for the construction industry and hoped that India will become one of the leading countries in construction technology in the near future. or facilities, their advanced and faster development is the necessity for the hour.
Singh expressed the hope that while DRDO’s mandate is to develop futuristic technologies, its side effects will also be available to the civilian sector. “Our traditional construction industry is generally regarded as labour-intensive, high risk and low productivity, but the way DRDO has built the FCS complex through hybrid technology, our infrastructure projects will be completed in an inexpensive and time-bound manner over time. he said. Singh called on DRDO to continue to explore new possibilities in construction technology and contribute to nation building through new innovations.
According to DRDO officials, the FCS facility is a building with a plinth area of 1.3 lakh square feet. The FCS integration facility at ADE, a laboratory of DRDO, was completed in a record time of 45 days using in-house hybrid technology comprising conventional, prefabricated and prefabricated methodology.
The technology was developed by DRDO with the help of Larsen & Toubro (L&T). Design review and technical support were provided by the IIT Madras and IIT Roorkee teams. This FCS facility will support research and development (R&D) activities for the development of Avionics for Fighter Aircraft and FCS for Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft conducted by ADE, Bengaluru.
Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, Secretary Ministry of Defence, R&D and Chairman DRDO Dr. G Satheesh Reddy and senior officers from DRDO and state government were among those in attendance at the inauguration.
