Vaccination against COVID-19 in the 12-14 age group began with Biological E’s intramuscular vaccine Corbevax, which included two doses 28 days apart.
As of March 1, 2021, there were 4.7 crore children aged 12 and 13 in the country.
The Center has asked states to organize special Covid vaccination sessions through earmarked centers and train vaccinators to prevent vaccine mixing during inoculation of children aged 12-14.
